What Dreams May Come...

The Dreaming can certainly take us on some interesting journeys.
In a nocturnal voyage two nights ago, a dear (albeit new) friend whom I respect and hold in the highest esteem, gifted me with a three sided mirror.
In a room that was already bedecked with mirrors from floor to ceiling (mirrors of every size, shape, design and tone), I placed this one atop a table and sat down before it.
The entire room was illuminated by hundreds of white candles that flickered like stars and framed the image I saw in the mirror before me: I saw myself, albeit a few years older and a bit thinner than I am now. Dressed in a midnight blue medieval-style dress that hung off my shoulders, waves of red hair fell almost to my waist, and when I stared into my own eyes, I saw a serenity that I would never have imagined could exist within me.
